Job Title: General Foreman (Civil)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced General Foreman (Civil) to oversee and coordinate daily civil construction activities at project sites. The ideal candidate will lead site supervisors and construction crews, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to project specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all civil construction activities on-site.
- Manage foremen, supervisors, and skilled labor teams.
- Ensure work is carried out according to drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Monitor productivity, quality, and progress of construction work.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Plan manpower, equipment, and material requirements.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Resolve on-site technical and operational issues.
- Maintain daily progress reports and site documentation.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (preferred).
- 1–4 years of experience in civil construction, with at least 3 years as a General Foreman.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Experience working on commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of project management software is an advantage.
